FootballRasmus Hojlund Lashes Out at ‘Selfish’ Alejandro Garnacho in Man United FA Cup Win
- Rasmus Hojlund fumed at Alejandro Garnacho during their FA Cup match
- Garnacho failed to square the ball in time for the striker to have a tap-in
- Manchester United ended up winning 4-2 despite throwing away their lead
Rasmus Hojlund was visibly upset with his teammate, Alejandro Garnacho, during their FA Cup fourth-round tie against Newport County on January 28.
Manchester United survived a scare against the League Two opposition to win 4-2 at Rodney Parade. Captain Bruno Fernandes fired them in front after just seven minutes before Kobbie Mainoo doubled the lead with his first senior goal six minutes later.
The hosts, however, fought back, with Bryn Morris scoring with a rocket of a shot nine minutes before the break. Will Evans then scored from close range to equalise the proceedings.
Antony bagged his first goal of the season after a Luke Shaw curler ricocheted off the post before Hojlund put the game beyond Newport's reach in stoppage time.
Hojlund fumes at Garnacho
The Danish striker was far from impressed by his teammate Garnacho, who, at one point, chose to evade the defenders rather than put in the ball the first time.
Hojlund lashed out at the Argentine, raising his hand in his direction as he bemoaned on the missed chance.

Speaking after the game, Fernandes directed a thinly veiled attack at the 19-year-old winger.
"In the first half, we had chances to make 3-0, but because when you get 2-0 in these kinds of games, everyone wants to try to score and get their goal, sometimes we don’t get the best decision for the team," he said as quoted by Metro UK.
