Klopp dropped the bombshell on Friday, January 26, in an exclusive interview shared by Liverpool on the club’s social media pages.

But that I still take this decision shows you that I am convinced it is the one I have to take,” Klopp added, per the club website.

On social media, Liverpool fans were all in disbelief of news that one of their most successful managers was leaving them.

Klopp, who is currently the longest-serving manager in English top flight, made history by ending Liverpool’s 30-year wait for the title. The 56-year-old also master-minded a Champions League triumph in 2019.
