Former Mamelodi Sundowns manager, Pitso Mosimane has officially joined a new club amid links with Premier Soccer League side, Kaizer Chiefs.
The former Bafana Bafana coach has been without a managerial role since leaving the United Arab Emirates league side, Al Wahda late last year.
Mosimane is rated as one of the best coaches to hail from Africa and has been repeatedly linked to the vacant coaching role at the AmaKhosi.
Mosimane's agent and wife, Moira Tlhagale, has officially confirmed the former Al Ahly boss would be returning to a familiar destination, according to a report by iDiskiTimes.
"I can confirm to you that coach Pitso has officially signed with Saudi Arabian club, Abha FC on Thursday," the MT Sports founder said.
The company, via Tlhagale, also confirmed the duration of the contract Mosiamane had signed with the Saudi Pro League club.
"Coach Pitso will be returning to the gulf and has signed a four-month contract with the team until the end of the season," she added.
"His mandate is clear, and that is to ensure that Abha survives relegation and plays in the [Saudi] Pro League again next season."
Mosimane has previously worked in Saudi Arabia's lower divisions but this will be his first time working with a club in the top flight of the Middle Eastern nation.
However, his experience in raising the stock of lesser teams is well-documented, having led Jeddah-based Al-Ahli Saudi to first-tier promotion within a year.
