This season's final of the Carabao Cup will be an all-Premier League affair pitting Liverpool and Chelsea.
Next month at Wembley, the two English giants are set to face off, aiming to secure their first title of the season.
Recent encounters between the two teams have proven challenging to differentiate, as each of their last seven meetings has ended in a draw after 90 minutes.
BBC reports that Liverpool set up a crunch date with the Blues in the final despite their draw with Fulham on Wednesday night in the second leg of their semi-final clash.
The Reds beat Fulham 2-1 in the first leg played at Anfield and were keen to see off the Cottagers in the reverse tie to qualify.
However, the meeting ended in a 1-1 draw, with Luis Diaz opening the scoring for the visitors in the 11th minute.
While Fulham equalised with 14 minutes left on the clock via Issa Diop, they were unable to get a second one.
Jurgen Klopp's men subsequently qualified for the final on a 3-2 aggregate.
How Chelsea made it to the final
The Merseysiders will be coming up against a Chelsea side who hammered Middlesbrough 6-2 on aggregate to qualify.
The Blues lost 1-0 away in the first leg before demolishing the Championship side 6-1 in the second leg played at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday.
Enzo Fernandez, Axel Disasi, and Noni Madueke all found the target, with Cole Palmer contributing a brace to the scoring.
