South African national team coach Hugo Broos has disclosed the most important person ahead of their crucial tie against Tunisia at the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Bafana Bafana need a win or a draw to book a place in the round of 16 of the competition.
South Africa currently sits in second position in Group E; they are one point behind Mali and are ahead of Namibia on goal difference.
On the other hand, Tunisia are languishing in fourth place and needs a win against South Africa to qualify for the next round.
Broos claimed that their Strength and Conditioning Coach Kopano Melesi is the most important person ahead of the game against the Carthage Eagles, according to a report by iDiskiTimes.
"It is essential that our analysis and strength and conditioning coach and maybe now the physical coach is the most important; he has to show us and tell us what we can do and how we have to do it," he said.
South Africa lost their first game in the competition to Mali 2-0 before thrashing the Brave Warriors of Namibia 4-0 in their second group game.
Tunisia have also been poor so far in the competition as they are without a win thus far, losing to Namibia and drawing against Mali in their first two games.
