FootballEgypt Manager Rui Vitoria Not Impressed With Jurgen Klopp’s Injury Updates About Mohamed Salah
- Egypt's manager Rui Vitoria has hit out at Liverpool and their manager Jurgen Klopp
- Klopp recently provided an update on Mohamed Salah's fitness and his future plans
- Salah was injured during the Ghana game and will return to Merseyside for treatment
Rui Vitoria is not a fan of Jurgen Klopp at the moment.
The Egyptian coach has hit out at the Liverpool boss after news broke that Mohamed Salah was injured and would be returning to England.
The Liverpool star was injured during Egypt’s draw with Ghana, but little was known about the extent of the injury at first.
As noted by The Mirror, Klopp then confirmed that Salah would return to Merseyside to be treated by the club’s medical team.
“However long he is out for it makes sense he does the rehab with us and our people,” Klopp said.
While Klopp meant well by providing an update on the superstar, Vitoria was not happy with the comments.
Why Vitoria is upset with Klopp
The Egyptian manager was hesitant to reveal the extent of Salah’s injury, especially before their final group game against Cape Verde.
With Cape Verde topping the table with six points and Egypt in second with two points before kick-off, Vitoria confirmed that they didn’t want to give away too many details about their star player.
As a result, he was less than impressed that Klopp spilt the beans, Metro reported.
‘We didn’t want to alarm anyone. I didn’t think it was right for Liverpool, via any intermediary, to speak about this, because we had a tremendously important game,’ Vitoria said.
Salah will now return to Merseyside to undergo treatment and could still make a return to the Egyptian squad if they make the final.
