A Super Eagles star has boasted after Nigeria qualified for the round of 16 after defeating Guinea-Bissau at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
The three-time African champions sealed a place in the next round after a 1-0 win over the Wild Dogs in their last group game on Monday, January 22.
The Super Eagles finished second in Group A after Equatorial Guinea claimed a resounding 4-0 win over the host nation Ivory Coast in Abidjan.
In an exclusive interview with Sports Brief, Nigerian international Olorunleke Ojo boasted about Nigeria's next opponent in the round of 16.
"There are no permutations about who would meet in the next round in camp, but we are prepared for any team that comes our way now," he said.
"The most important thing is that the energy and vibe in the team is 100 per cent, and any team we are paired with, we are ready to face them."
The Enyimba international goalkeeper also shared his thoughts on Nigeria's win over the Wild Dogs in their last group game.
"I feel good and happy that we make it [to the next round]; what we worked for, we've finally gotten it," he added.
"I won't say we were lucky against [Guinea-Bissau]; it is what we worked for, and I believed that we deserved the victory. It doesn't really matter how we played; the most important thing was the three points, and we got it."
Odegbami picks top performer against Ivory Coast
Sports Brief earlier reported that 1980 AFCON winner Segun Odegbami has disclosed the top performer in Nigeria's win over Ivory Coast at the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Super Eagles defeated the Elephants with a second-half penalty from captain William Troost-Ekong.
