Walid Regragui has finally responded to Chancel Mbemba after the Democratic Republic of Congo defender accused the Moroccan coach of using 'unprintable' words at him at the end of their match.
The Olympique Marseille star and Regragui clashed moments after the game, leading to chaotic scenes as players from both sides went at each other.
The unfortunate incident marred a very competitive match at San Pedro, with the two sides sharing the spoils.
According to Mbemba, he had an outburst because the Moroccan coach insulted him.
"I'm keeping my silence, it's better. Everybody knows me, I respect everyone. But I never thought I'd hear that word from the coach, that it would come from his mouth," Mbemba said, as quoted by ESPN.
However, Regragui has detailed the events that led to the melee, stating the Congolese centre-back is being dishonest.
“If he has images, let him take them out, with pleasure,” he said, as quoted by 13 Football.
“I didn't like it because it insinuates a lot of things. So if he has images other than those we see on television, let him release them, with pleasure,” added Regragui. “And he’ll see exactly what happened.
He continued: "And this is what happened... Before I went to shake his hand, he attacked me and my assistant on the sidelines before the end of the match, he spoke badly to us.
"And (Sebastien) Desabre knows it. And in the end, despite that, I'm going to shake his hand to also say: 'But why are you talking to me like that?'. And then he looks away, like 'I’m not shaking your hand'. I held his hand, you can see it in the images, and he started screaming in every direction."

FootballThe World Cup semi-finalist coach went on to state that Mbemba did not give an accurate account of the incident.
"But by speaking as he did, he is implying that my comments are racist, it is dishonest. As he only talks about religion in his speech, let him be a little honest with himself,” concluded Regragui.
