Man United star Paul Pogba has hailed Chelsea's N'Golo Kante as the most beloved player in the history of football.
The midfield duo played together during the 2018 World Cup when France emerged victors and Pogba could not imagine a better player he has featured alongside in midfield.
"He’s the most beloved player in the history of football. You’ve got to love him, you cannot hate him, it is not possible. He is humble, kind, professional. He will never complain, he will work," Metro UK quoted Pogba saying.
"He’s got everything. He’s good technically, with good passing quality, and he’s everywhere on the pitch," he added.
Whereas the United superstar reserved special praise for Kante's football skills and abilities, he took issue with the Chelsea midfielder's conduct in other activities.
"He cheats a lot. A lot. At card games, board games. Honestly, I’m telling the truth. He cheats," the ex-Juve midfielder revealed.
Kante has in the past courted love and admiration from fans - including those from rival clubs, particularly owing to his humility.
In September 2019, he showed up as a surprise guest during a Chelsea fan daughter's wedding.
Frank Khalid, who is also a businessman posted photos of the France international mingling with guests and taking pictures.
Khalid, an ardent Chelsea fan told The Sun how he got to know the 28-year-old when they first met in his restaurant and how the Frenchman also paid him a visit after a heart surgery in 2018.
