Reigning Africa Cup of Nations champions Senegal have qualified for the round of 16 of the tournament.
The Lions of Teranga booked their spot in the knockouts following their 3-1 win over Cameroon in their second Group C clash.
The Aliou Cisse-tutored side kicked off their campaign on a winning note after they hammered The Gambia 3-0 in their group opener.
Lamine Camara was the man of the moment at the time, with the Metz ace bagging a brace to inspire his side to a comfortable win.
Senegal were therefore keen to maintain the momentum when they faced Cameroon on Friday evening at Stade Charles Konan Banny de Yamoussoukro.
How Senegal vs Cameroon played out
Cisse's men were the dominant side in the early exchanges of the match, with their probing in the final third helping them take the lead in the 16th minute.
Ismail Sarr was responsible for the opener, with the Marseille star beating Andre Onana with a calm shot from the edge of the box from a corner.
Efforts by Cameroon to draw level proved futile, with Senegal holding firm to the lead into the break.
The second half of the match saw the Lions of Teranga double their lead through Habib Diallo before Cameroon pulled one back via Jean-Charles Castelletto.
Al-Nassr ace Sadio Mane went on to restore his side's two-goal advantage as they stormed to a 3-1 win.
Cameroon now need a win in their final match against Guinea to stand any chance of qualifying for the last 16.
