According to Soccer Laduma, Kaizer Chiefs have made an offer to the Sundowns legend. The report adds that Mosimane's camp rejected the offer, and the 59-year-old tactician would prefer to return to the Middle East.

Mosimane has been linked with Saudi Pro League outfit Abha Club who are currently fighting relegation. He has also been linked with the Egyptian side Pyramids FC and possibly the Nigerian national team.

It is unclear where he will land, but Kaizer Chiefs fans will be unhappy with the news. Mosimane could be the one to end Chief's nine-year trophy drought.

Cavin Johnson is Chiefs' current interim coach after taking over from Molefi Ntseki, who was fired in October, just four months into his tenure.

The Glamour Boys are currently sixth in the 2023/24 PSL table, 11 points behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.

Mosimane agrees new deal?

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Mosimane reportedly agreed a deal with Saudi Pro League side Abha Club despite being Kaizer Chiefs' top target.

Multiple reports have indicated that the former Bafana Bafana coach could join the club after coaching SPL side Al Ahli and Al Wahda in the UAE.

Abha Club are currently struggling in the Saudi Pro League and are 17th on the table and have lost six of its last seven league games.

Mosimane on coaching Kaizer Chiefs

Sports Brief also reported on Mosimane explaining the challenges of coaching Kaizer Chiefs.

Mosimane said taking up the Kaizer Chiefs role is business he questioned their short and long-term plans.

The CAF Champions League winner also said the club has to have a vision, adding that he is capable of coaching any team in Africa and Europe.
