Mohamed Salah has been forced off in the game between Ghana and Egypt at the Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d'Ivoire.
The talismanic forward had been quiet in the game before signaling the technical team of the Pharaohs for him to be substituted due to a hamstring injury. He was replaced by Mohamed Fathi.
The Liverpool ace's future at the tournament remains a doubt with the medical team of Egypt yet to assess his fitness level.
Salah scored late in Egypt's opening game to rescue a point for the seven-time champions in their game against Mozambique.
Moments before leaving the pitch, West Ham United star Mohammed Kudus gave the Black Stars the lead at the stroke of half-time.
Egypt levelled after the break through Mohamed Mustafa after pouncing on a mistake by Ghana forward Inaki Williams.
Kudus responded a minute later with another exquisite strike after receiving the ball from Dennis Odoi inside the box.
Just as Ghana were yet to settle, the Black Stars conceded again from another mistake. Omar Marmoush punished Ghana after Osman Bukari failed to clear the ball in the box.
Salah involved in argument with referee
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Mohamed Salah confronted the referee during the game between Egypt and Ghana at the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Liverpool star was visibly unhappy with some refereeing decisions as the match produced an exciting spectacle in Abidjan.
Salah was later replaced by Mohamed Fathi after picking an injury just before half-time.

Sports Brief also reported that Egypt twice came from behind to earn a 2-2 draw with Ghana at the Africa Cup of Nations on Thursday after losing captain Mohamed Salah to injury in the first half.
