Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa, believes the Africa Cup of Nations is a tougher competition than the FIFA World Cup.
His statement backs Black Stars skipper Andre Ayew's comments about the two international competitions.
Musa is a veteran of the two competitions, and he is only behind Ghana's Asamoah Gyan as the continent's top scorer at the World Cup.
The former Leicester City winger is yet to win the Africa Cup of Nations with Nigeria but was a key player as the Super Eagles finished third at AFCON 2019.
"Yes, definitely I agree with him because in African football it is not all about the beauty of the game, it is more about the hard game and aggression," he told Sienu TV.
"In the World Cup, you have to use the technique but in African football, nobody cares about technique, they just put their best to make it hard," he added.
"For the Africa Cup of Nations is one of the toughest tournaments ever."
Musa was an unused substitute as Victor Osimhen salvaged a point for the three-time African champions in their Group A opener against Equatorial Guinea.
Ayew makes AFCON and World Cup comparison
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghana captain, Andre Ayew, says AFCON is a more difficult competition than the FIFA World Cup.
Ayew made his eighth appearance at the tournament on Sunday, when he came on as a second-half substitute in the match against Cape Verde.
The veteran forward could break the record for the most appearances at the competition if Ghana advances to the latter stages of the tournament.

Musa is yet to make an appearance at the tournament after he was unused for the first match in Abidjan.
