According to SPORTbible, the Frenchman's current deal at Parc des Princes will expire at the end of the season, meaning he is free to enter pre-agreements with foreign clubs.

Mbappe penned a two-year contract extension with PSG back in 2022, at a time when he was thought to be on the verge of joining Real Madrid.

With his contract almost due, speculation is rife that he could depart in the summer, with Real still his likeliest destination.

Ronaldo wants end to Mbappe transfer saga

While reports claim PSG are ready to offer Mbaoo an astronomical contract to fend off Real interest, Ronaldo has disclosed his desire to see an end to the transfer saga.

Speaking to SPORT during the FIFA Best Awards ceremony in London, the legendary striker gave his take on the entire Mbappe saga.

“I don’t know if he’s going to go to Real Madrid, but it’s true that he speaks almost perfect Spanish. I find it impressive how well he speaks," he said.

“I don’t know what will happen, but it’s already becoming a very long soap opera,” Ronaldo added.
