  • Kylian Mbappe is regarded as one of the best footballers in the world
  • His contract with Paris Saint-Germain is set to expire in the summer
  • Mbappe had been linked to Real Madrid for most of the past two years

Kylian Mbappe has hinted he could end his career in the Saudi Pro League after the recent influx of stars following Cristiano Ronaldo's move last year.

Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr after his Manchester United contract was mutually terminated, and it ‘inspired’ other top European stars to join the league, including Neymar Jr.

Mbappe had been in a tussle with Paris Saint-Germain over his desire to leave the club and join Real Madrid, but each time he tried to move, he kept staying.

His current deal expires in the summer, and according to Sky Sports News, the Parisians have readied a new contract worth $109 million per season for the France international.

Mbappé acknowledges the appeal of Saudi Arabia

The 25-year-old was close to leaving Paris last summer and was left out of the club's pre-season tour. Al-Hilal wanted to pounce on the situation to sign him but failed.

Per Forbes, the Saudi club offered a $332 million transfer fee to PSG and offered the player a world-record salary of $775 million, but he rejected the move as he wanted to remain in Europe.

In an interview with GQ Sports, he reflected on the move and subtly hinted he could end his career in the country.

“Many great players who have shaped the history of football have left Europe this summer, and we are entering a new era,” he said.
“It’s become part of the cycle of this sport, and at some point, it will be my turn to leave. I’m not worried about these changes. I’m simply thinking about continuing my career and following my own path.”

Lionel Messi is preventing the old era from going away quickly. In the last three months, he has beaten Mbappe and Haaland to two awards – the Ballon d'Or and FIFA Best.

Mbappe admits he misses Messi

Sports Brief reported on Mbappe admitting he misses Messi after the Argentina captain left Ligue 1 to join Inter Miami in Major League Soccer last month.

The France national team captain explained what the former Barcelona captain offers on the field, which suited his style of football, but he hasn't had anyone to do that since he left.
