South Africans are not happy with Percy Tau after missing the first penalty of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Bafana Bafana's group game against Mali.

The South Africa national team faces the Eagles of Mali on Tuesday evening for their first AFCON group game.

The major discourse of the first 45 minutes was Percy Tau missing a penalty that should have given Bafana Bafana the lead before the break.

Evidence Makgopa was elbowed in the box by Malian defender Sikou Niakate in the 18th minute, and the resulting penalty from the incident was missed by Tau in the 19th minute.
