The Red Devils have been unable to replicate their fine form in Ten Hag's debut season last term, with the Old Trafford dwellers left with just the FA Cup to challenge for.

TeamTalk reports that the former Ajax boss is already facing sack calls, with Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher urging Sir Jim Ratcliffe to get rid of the manager.

Who could replace ten Hag?

According to GiveMeSport, Potter has been touted as the likeliest option to succeed ten Hag at the Theater of Dreams if the Dutchman departs.

The publication claims that United are making some major changes behind the scenes that could have a bearing on ten Hag's future.

It is believed that Potter is leading the listnof of managers who could take charge at the club should a vacancy arise.

The Englishman is currently without a job for almost one year since he was sacked at Chelsea.

The Blues gave the former Brighton Brighton boss his marching orders barely five months after taking charge following the departure of Thomas Tuchel.
