According to The Mirror, Burn was not impressed with how City celebrated their opening goal.

Silva found the back of the net with a backheel from Kyle Walker's cross to prompt a wild celebration from the City camp.

However, the goal was marred with controversy, with Newcastle adamant Anthony Gordon was fouled in the build-up.

With the referee and VAR failing to intervene, Burn confronted the celebrating Man City stars to make clear his feelings about the goal.

The defender was spotted pointing his finger furiously at Ruben Dias as City formed a huddle in celebration.

Man City see off Newcastle

While the hosts took the lead moments later with two quick-fire goals, City were able to stage a dramatic comeback to cart home the three points.

Sky Sports reports that Alexander Isak and Gordon were both on target as the first half ended 2-1 in favour of the home side.

However, the introduction of Kevin De Bruyne in the second half of the match changed the tide for the hosts.

The Belgian ace drew City level with a sublime finish in the 74th minute before he set up Oscar Bobb for the winner at stoppage time.

The win fired Pep Guardiola's men to second in the Premier League table with 43 points, just two points behind leaders Liverpool.
