FootballReports have it that the former Sundowns boss will resume his new job this weekend, which is a return to the Middle East after working with Al Ahli in Saudi Arabia and Al Wahda in UAE.
Abha Club are currently struggling in the Saudi Pro League and are 17th on the table and are already out of the King's Cup.
AmaKhosi will have to continue searching for a new permanent manager if they lose Mosimane to the Saudi Arabian side.
Cavin Johnson could get the job permanently, but the Glamour Boys are also looking at Zimbabwean coach Callisto Pasuwa.
Sports Brief earlier reported that Pitso Mosimane has explained his challenges in filling the vacant permanent coaching role at Kaizer Chiefs.
The former Al Ahli coach is still looking for a new team to take charge of after departing UAE league side Al Wahda late last year.
Mosimane claimed he was open to a new challenge with a new team, but spending the festive holidays with his family came first.
