- Dortmund confirmed Sancho’s first two words after completing his return
Jadon Sancho made a Michael Jordan reference after he completed his loan move to Borussia Dortmund from Manchester United.
The 23-year-old’s Manchester United nightmare came to an end on Thursday, January 11, as he penned a loan deal with the German club until the end of the season.
Unfortunately for Sancho, there is no option to buy.
Sancho has not played professionally since August 26, when he sensationally fell out of favour with United boss Erik ten Hag.
After he refused to apologize to the manager, ten Hag froze the England international out of the squad.
Fast forward to the present day and Dortmund have re-signed their former superstar, who left the German giants for £73million in the summer of 2021.
Per The Mirror, Dortmund paid a loan fee of £3m and will cover a big chunk of the player’s £250,000-a-week salary.
Sancho’s two-word statement
On social media platform X, formerly Twitter, Dortmund released an interesting statement moments after the loan deal was confirmed.
According to the club statement, Sancho’s response to questions about his future was “I’m back”.
Fans with long memories will recall the legendary basketball star Michael Jordan making the same remark when he made a comeback to the NBA.
Sancho also opened up about the loan deal to the Dortmund club website where he expressed delight to be back at the Signal Iduna Park.
"I can't wait to see my teammates again, to get out on the pitch, play with a smile on my face, set up goals, score goals and help BVB qualify for the Champions League,” he said.

Sancho ‘likes’ tweet announcing his departure
On Tuesday, Jadon Sancho courted controversy by ‘liking’ a tweet that announced his temporary exit from Manchester United.
As Sports Brief reported, football insider Fabrizio Romano gave fans the latest on the Dortmund transfer in a statement, and Sancho was among the thousands who interacted with the post.
