Africa's biggest broadcast company, Multichoice, have made a U-turn concerning the broadcast of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
The media company had initially failed to secure the rights to broadcast the continental competition after a disagreement with CAF.
The African football governing body then sold the AFCON broadcasting rights to the emerging Francophone media company, New World TV.
Multichoice initially announced they would not air the tournament on their sports channel, SuperSport, but have since gone back on that decision.
Football fans and subscribers to DStv packages had threatened to ditch the broadcaster after the news about the AFCON rights came to light.
