Arsenal are set for a busy January transfer window that could see them make at least three new signings.

Mikel Arteta is said to be keen to bolster his squad this winter to help him challenge for the Premier League title.

The signing of a prolific striker has been identified as a key priority, with the Gunners currently struggling in front of the goal.

However, GiveMeSport reports that the north Londoners are unlikely to make a big signing due to limited funds following their heavy spending in the summer of 2023.

As such, it has been claimed that the Premier League giants could overlook mega deals and recruit young talents instead.

Who could Arsenal sign in January?

According to talkSPORT reporter Alex Crook, Arsenal are eyeing at least three young prospects before the January transfer window shuts.

Ajax teenage defender Jorrel Hato and Spanish left-back Miguel Gutierrez are among the players linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium.

However, Arteta's men will have to contend with competition from rivals Manchester United in their push to sign Gutierrez.

Sportbible claims that the Red Devils are closely tracking the 22-year-old Girona ace to provide cover for Luke Shaw following the departure of Sergio Reguilon.

Meanwhile, Everton youngster Amadou Onana is the other player who could join the Gunners this month.

Onana has formed an important part of Sean Dyche's team at Goodison Park this season.

However, he is said to be open to a move up the Premier League ladder, with Arsenal the leading contender for his services.
