Ahmed Musa (Nigeria)

The former Leicester City forward would lead a young Super Eagles side to the tournament for the second time.

There have been a lot of controversies about his inclusion in the team, and he could quit the national team after the competition, with many youngsters waiting to take his place.

He won the competition in 2013, and the team would need his experience in Ivory Coast.

Andre Ayew (Ghana)

The Ghana national team captain is one of the players to focus on in the tournament this year, as he could be setting two new records.

The former West Ham United midfielder could feature in his last Cup of Nations as many young players emerge.

Rais M'Bolhi (Algeria)

The 2019 AFCON winner is coming to the latter stages of his career and could be one of the old players waving goodbye to the competition in Abidjan.

M'Bolhi will clock 38 in April, and his first AFCON appearance was in 2013 in South Africa.

Badra Ali Sangare (Ivory Coast)

Sangare has played in two African Cup of Nations and could be appearing in his last tournament in Ivory Coast.

The 37-year-old shot-stopper currently plays for the PSL side Sekhukhune United.

Yunis Abdelhamid (Morocco)

The Stade de Reims, captain, could be featured in his last edition of the AFCON after participating twice in the tournament.

The 36-year-old defender was not part of the Moroccan squad featured in the 2021 edition won by the Teranga Lions.
