Senegal forward Sadio Mane has expressed gratitude after marrying the woman of his dreams, Aisha Tamba, in a beautiful wedding ceremony in Dakar on Sunday.
The 31-year-old, who is in Senegal, preparing for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, took the opportunity to perform the Islamic wedding, known as Nikah.
Photos of his wife, Mrs. Mane, went viral on social media after the event as fans, family and friends congratulated the winger.
In his first post after the marriage, Mane shared romantic photos with his lover while graciously expressing gratitude to God.
"Alhamdulillah," he wrote in Arabic on X, which translates thank you Allah.
Mane rejoined his Senegal teammates on Monday for the pre-AFCON friendly against Niger at the Abdoulaye Wade Stadium. The Al-Nassr star was an unused substitute as the African champions left it late to beat Niger 1-0, courtesy of an injury-time goal from Formose Mendy, per ESPN.
The Teranga Lions will leave for Ivory Coast on Tuesday as they begin the defence of their AFCON next Monday.
Senegal have been in Group C alongside five-time champions Cameroon, neighbours Gambia and Guinea.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Al-Nassr star, Sadio Mane married his partner Aisha Tamba, in a lovely wedding ceremony in Dakar on Sunday, January 7, 2024.
The wedding was said to have been attended by friends, family, former players, and even current members of the Senegal national team.
The former Liverpool star also returned home to rejoin his teammates as the African champions launch their training camp ahead of AFCON 2023.

Sports Brief also reported that Sadio Mane extended his developmental works in Senegal by building a new stadium for the people of his hometown, Bambali.
The Al-Nassr star returned home to formally open the facility ahead of his nation's training camp for the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
One year ago, Mane was spotted playing on a muddy pitch in Bambali after a tough season in Europe, which saw him depart Bayern Munich.
