Arsenal have set an unwanted record following their FA Cup defeat against Liverpool on Sunday.

The Gunners have endured a frustrating run of form and results that has seen them go four matches without a win.

The North Londoners' worrying streak continued in the third round of the FA Cup, where they were humbled 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium to bow out.

Sky Sports reports that a Jakub Kiwior own goal in the 80th minute of the match and Luis Diaz's strike at stoppage time sealed the win for the Reds.

The two teams looked set to end in a draw after the hosts squandered a string of goal-scoring chances, only for the Polish star to gift Liverpool the lead.

Diaz went on to cap the visitors' victory with a sublime finish in the dying seconds of the match to help his side progress to the FA Cup's next round.

Arsenal set unwanted record

According to OptaJoe, this is the first time in close to 15 years Arsenal have lost consecutive home games by a margin of two or more goals.

Mikel Arteta's charges were initially beaten 0-2 by rivals, West Ham United in the Premier League.

The last time this happened was back in May 2009 when they suffered humiliating defeats against Manchester United and Chelsea.

The north Londoners have already been bundled out of the Carabao Cup and have only the Champions League and the Premier League to challenge for this season.

They will be hoping to bounce back to winning ways when they host Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, January 20.

Liverpool players celebrate with fan

One Liverpool fan had a moment he will never forget when he celebrated the team's goal against Arsenal.

The supporter was hit on the head by both Darwin Nunez and Ibrahima Konate before his hat was stolen.

A video of the moment has since gone viral, with fans left in stitches, as Sports Brief previously reported.
