Banyana Banyana and Mamelodi Sundowns star Bambanani Mbane has married her longtime lover Tsholofelo Makgalemele-Mbane, in a heartwarming fashion.
The 33-year-old defender's wedding ceremony with Makgalemele was held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, in Sterkspruit, Eastern Cape.
Mbane and her lover have been together since 2019 but decided to make things official between them late last year.
On their wedding day, the couples were pictured in traditional attire as they showed lovely gestures to each other.
She was seen feeding her wife with the wedding cake at the event, while her partner also replicated the gesture.
Mbane plays for the South Africa Women's League side, Mamelodi Sundowns, and the South Africa women's national team.
She was part of the Banyana Banyana squad that won the last Africa Women's Cup of Nations in 2022 and had a stellar performance for Sundowns.
According to Wikipedia, her performance for the Masandawana and the Banyana Banyana earned her a place in the IFFHS CAF Women's Team of The Year in 2022 and the CAF Women's Africa XI in 2023.
She was also part of the South Africa Women's squad that travelled to the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup hosted by Australia and New Zealand, where they crashed out in Round 16.
