Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly made another outlandish purchase of a mega-mansion, this time in a lavish area in Dubai.
The 38-year-old, who makes a staggering £175m-a-year at Saudi Arabia club Al Nassr, added another piece of property to his extensive house portfolio as he purchased a house in Jumeirah Bay Island, better known among locals as ‘Billionaires Island.'
Interestingly, his latest purchase came just after he was set to be feted at the Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai.
Bloomberg reports that Ronaldo Billionaires’ Island is a lavish and exclusive area occupied by the super-rich.
The property's price has not been specified, though it is believed to be in the region of tens of millions.
Reports further state that Ronaldo will officially receive the property later in 2024.
A home on Billionaires’ Island can be up to 30,000 square feet, and the parking can fit up to seven cars.
Some wealthy individuals who do not own property on the island use it as a base to come and relax since the gated community has amenities that include fine-dining restaurants, a beach resort and a yacht club.
Ronaldo’s new property is rumoured to have a rooftop swimming pool and provides a majestic view of downtown Dubai.
Ronaldo has always been a fan of Dubai, as his partner Georgina Rodriguez frequently shares photos of herself in the city.
The fact that the former Manchester United man plies his trade in Saudi Arabia makes the Dubai property ideal for himself and his five children since it is only a two-hour flight away.
