Mohamed Salah has joined up with the rest of the Egypt squad ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations starting in Ivory Coast from January 13 to February 11.
The Liverpool forward linked up with the rest of the Egypt squad undergoing pre-tournament camping in the Olympic City in the New Administrative Capital.
According to KingFut, the Egyptian Football Federation confirmed Salah joined the camp after the completion of the training session on Thursday and is yet to train with his teammates.
With the 31-year-old forward’s arrival, the Pharaoh's camp is now complete, with all 27 players called up by coach Rui Vitoria for the competition in Ivory Coast all available.
Egypt, who are drawn in Group B along with Ghana, Cape Verde, and Mozambique, will first play a home friendly against Tanzania on January 7, before travelling to take part in the AFCON.
Klopp sends Salah AFCON message
Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp has wished Mohamed Salah the worst of luck on international duty, with the Liverpool forward jetting off to compete at the Africa Cup of Nations for Egypt, Daily Express reports.
The Reds are set to be without the mercurial Egyptian forward for a number of crucial matches this month, starting with an FA Cup tie against Arsenal on Sunday, January 7.
Klopp wished Salah the worst of luck at AFCON 2023 as he hoped Egypt would get knocked out early so the 31-year-old could return early to Anfield and not miss too many weeks of football for the Reds.
