Some supporters of Mamelodi Sundowns have advised Kaizer Chiefs owner Kaizer Motaung to replace Cavin Johnson with their former coach, Pitso Mosimane.

Johnson was appointed as the Glamour Boys manager on an interim basis after the departure of Molefi Ntseki.

According to multiple reports, the AmaKhosi have been searching for a permanent manager since then, and Mosimane has been linked with the job.

Johnson, Mosimane's assistant at Al Ahly, has been doing an excellent job after seven games in the DStv Premiership, winning four, drawing one and losing twice, according to Transfer Markt.

Despite Johnson's stellar performance, some Sundowns fans, during an interview with GOAL, still did not want him to be given the job permanently and advised the owner to go for Mosimane.

The interviewer asked:

"What do you think about Cavin Johnson so far?"

A Sundowns fan said:

"There is nothing that he is going to fix there. Like Kaizer Chiefs is dead and has been sleeping."

The interviewer asked:

"If Cavin Johnson is not the one, who should they bring?"

The fan replied:

"I think Pitso Mosimane. Yes, 'Jingles'. If they give him a chance, they give him players who he has to sign... He is going to do them miracles."

Another Sundowns fan said:

"Cavin Johnson is very weak; he has coached so many teams, he can't get the better of Rulani. Bobby Motaung needs to sort himself out."

One also said:

"They need to get someone arrogant like Pitso, mister no nonsense. If he says I want this type of player, then he wants him."

Another added:

"I don't think Cavin Johnson will manage the club according to me; they need to get a coach like Pitso Mosimane."

Mosimane outlines challenges with Chiefs job

Sports Brief also previously reported that Pitso Mosimane has explained the challenge he faces in taking up the vacant coaching role at Kaizer Chiefs.

The 59-year-old veteran manager has been without a managerial role since dumping the United Arab Emirates top-flight outfit Al Wahda late last year.

However, Mosimane has confirmed he is open to taking up a new challenge with a new team but first wanted to spend the Christmas holidays with his family.
