Top five teams linked with Mosimane

Pyramids FC

The Egyptian side was reportedly looking to replace Jamie Pacheco with the South African tactician as they were not impressed with his efforts so far in the dugout, according to a report by GOAL.

Zamalek

Zamalek were the first Egyptian Premier League club linked with the 59-year-old coach, as they reportedly wanted him as a replacement for the sacked Juan Carlos Osorio.

Hearts of Oak

The Ghanaian side was dreaming of appointing Mosimane, with the club's board member, Vincent Odotei Sowah, acknowledging that they are interested in bringing the former SuperSport United manager to the Ghanaian Premier League.

Nigeria

Nigeria is the only national team on the list, with Mosimane claiming he would be interested in coaching the Super Eagles.

Super Eagles legend Austin Jay Jay Okocha also claimed he would recommend the former Sundowns boss for the three-time African champions.

Kaizer Chiefs

AmaKhosi are top on the list as they are considered the best destination for the former Al Ahly mentor if he returns to the Premier Soccer League.

The Glamour Boys are still searching for a permanent coach and are currently managed on an interim basis by Mosimane's former assistant, Cavin Johnson.

Mosimane outlines challenges with Chiefs job

Sports Brief also previously reported that Pitso Mosimane has explained the challenge he faces in taking up the vacant coaching role at Kaizer Chiefs.

The 59-year-old veteran manager has been without a managerial role since dumping the United Arab Emirates top-flight outfit Al Wahda late last year.

However, Mosimane has confirmed he is open to taking up a new challenge with a new team but first wanted to spend the Christmas holidays with his family.
