Meanwhile, OdumoduBlvck would love to see in-form Bayer Leverkusen forward, Victor Boniface lead the Super Eagles at AFCON 2023 alongside Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen.

The Declan Rice artist, who selected a 4-4-2 formation for the Super Eagles, also picked Alex Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi, Frank Onyeka, and Ademola Lookman as his preferred midfielders.

Ola Aina, Calvin Bassey, Semi Ajayi, and Zaidu Sanusi complete the defensive set-up for OdumoduBlvck, who avoided selecting a goalkeeper for his squad amid the issues currently plaguing the Super Eagles.

Wilfred Ndidi faces AFCON exclusion

Sports Brief previously reported on Super Eagles manager, Jose Peseiro reportedly set to drop Leicester City's Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho from his final 25-man squad.

Both players' participation at the 34th edition of the AFCON tournament is under threat as they are currently battling varying degrees of injuries prior to the tournament kick-off.

Ndidi was out of Leicester's squad for Monday's 4-1 home win over Huddersfield Town, while Iheanacho has missed the Foxes' last two Championship games with muscle issues.
