Juventus, Premier League Club Eyes Swoop for Super Eagles Forward: Report

The plethora of attacking prowess possessed by the Super Eagles of Nigeria currently appears unprecedented since the turn of the century.

From forwards heralding the big stages like Napoli’s Victor Osimhen to Bayern Leverkusen’s 'boy wonder' Victor Boniface, a flurry of Nigerian forwards have continued to dominate the spotlight in some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

However, while some have indeed gone under the radar, a few others are indeed not going unnoticed, and one who has undeniably grabbed attention is Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman.

The 26-year-old former England U21 international has continued from where he left off at the end of the 2022-23 season and has continued to light up the Italian Serie A with his involvement in 10 goals since the start of the season, according to data courtesy of Fotmob.

Lookman’s stellar form has indeed caught a flurry of elite club attention, and a report has stated Juventus, and a premier League club are interested in his services.

Juventus interested in Lookman

According to a report from transfer expert Ekrem Konur, Serie A giants Juventus have inquired about the condition of Atalanta's 26-year-old winger's contract.

The report also highlights Premier League club Aston Villa have also made inquiries about the forward.

Lookman has significant Premier League experience, making close to 100 appearances in England’s top league with spells at Everton, Fulham and Leicester City.

However, while Atalanta might be reluctant to let go of their marquee forward, a jaw-dropping offer might persuade the Bergamo club to let go of the Nigerian.

In the meantime, Lookman will hope to lead the Super Eagles of Nigeria to glory at the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast.
