Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala has presented her sixth CAF Women's Player of the Year Award to President Bola Tinubu and his wife, Oluremi.
The Barcelona Femeni star scooped the prestigious prize for the sixth time during the CAF gala night in Morocco on December 11.
Oshoala won the prize in 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2022, and 2023, extending her record as the player with the most CAF Player Awards.
Punch reports that the 29-year-old used the opportunity to urge African Football Federations to come together to improve the women's game on the continent.
She said:
“This night, I would love to use this opportunity to thank everyone who has been part of my journey from grassroots football to the national level to the club side.
"Because without you, my coaches, and my teammates, there will be no me."
The superstar earlier presented the award to her Barcelona fans at the Estadi Johan Cryuff just before their game against Rosengard.
She has now presented it to the Nigerian president, and his wife and fans have continued to react. One said:

Another added:
