  • Who is the better player between Mohammed Kudus and Bukayo Saka
  • Kudus and Saka will cross swords when Arsenal faces West Ham in the Premier League
  • Here is a comparison between the pair in analysing who has been better this season

Mohammed Kudus has seamlessly adapted to the Premier League, showcasing his captivating skills and an evident knack for finding the net in England's top flight since his summer transfer from Ajax Amsterdam.

He has swiftly captured the hearts of West Ham fans after slowly warming himself into the starting lineup of David Moyes's team.

Kudus' journey at East London began with a cameo appearance against Luton Town, per Transfermarkt, and since then, he's been on an upward trajectory in the ongoing 2023–24 season.

While the 23-year-old continues to excel, another Premier League standout, Bukayo Saka, seems to be struggling to reach the heights of his previous seasons.

Sports Brief compared these two forwards using Squawka's Comparison Matrix to discern their performances in the games played so far.

Who is better: Mo Kudus or Bukayo Saka?

Despite their stylistic differences in positioning on the field, both Kudus and Saka share similar attributes.

They have comparable preferred foot options (left dominant), dribbling abilities, pace, a knack for appearing in crucial areas and goal-scoring instincts.

Saka has played 17 games, totalling 1485 minutes, surpassing the Ghanaian's game count by two due to his arrival later in the pre-season and Moyes's gradual introduction of him into the team. Kudus has clocked 870 minutes.

Yet, despite playing fewer games and minutes than Saka, the Right to Dream Academy graduate outperforms the Englishman in both defensive and attacking metrics.

Except for shots on target, assists, and chances created, where Saka holds the edge, Kudus leads in all other comparison metrics, underscoring his superiority over the Arsenal prodigy.

What's next for Saka and Kudus?

Interestingly, the two will face off as Arsenal hosts West Ham at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday, December 28, as cited by Sportsmole.

Kudus scored for the Hammers in their two-nil victory against Manchester United at the London Stadium in their last Premier League outing.

His strong chemistry with Lucas Paqueta has made them a formidable duo, with the Brazilian assisting the Ghana international in three of his last four goals.

Conversely, Bukayo has had a dry spell in scoring goals and aims to regain his scoring form as the Gunners look to bounce back after their 1-1 draw with Liverpool in their recent fixture.
