Barcelona defender Jules Kounde has arrived in Cotonou, Benin to visit in grandmother.

The France-born right-back took advantage of the winter break to visit the country of his parents.

Kounde spent the day with his grandmother, after several years of not seeing her due to his busy career schedule.

In photos shared on social media, Kounde is seen enjoying the company of his grandmother with other members of the family.

The former Sevilla player arrived in Benin on Boxing following a visit to Senegal, where he met players of Be Sport Academy, a team that has a long-term partnership with Barcelona.

Kounde inspired the upcoming footballers, urging them to chase their dreams by working hard to succeed.

"An inspiring day with Jules Kounde at Be Sport Academy. His visit brought a dose of motivation and unique experience to our young talents. Thanks to this champion for his commitment and generosity. Together, we cultivate success on and off the pitch," wrote the Academy on social media.

Despite having the option of representing Benin at international level, Kounde chose to play for the country of his birth.

Kounde has been consistent for Barcelona this season as they look to defend the La Liga title won last season.

Jules Kounde visits Senegal during break

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Barcelona defender Jules Kounde arrived in Senegal to a rapturous welcome following the break in La Liga for the winter holidays.

The France right-back took time off to visit the Be Sport Academy, which is in partnership with Spanish giants, Barcelona.

The Academy has a five-year agreement with the La Liga outfit, where young players are given the opportunity to fly to Spain for trials each year.

Kounde named best-dressed player in 2023

Sports Brief also reported that FC Barcelona defender, Jules Koundé earned the distinguished title of the year's best-dressed personality from the London fashion magazine, Outlander.

Alongside his prowess on the football field, the Frenchman effortlessly stands out as one of the most recognisable figures on social media, showcasing an impeccable sense of style.

Despite Barcelona's fluctuating form in their title defence this season, Koundé, a key player in their previous La Liga triumph, has remained consistent under coach Xavi's management, featuring in 18 matches across various competitions.
