Borussia Dortmund forward Karim Adeyemi has opened up on his favourite African player at the moment.
The German-born Nigerian returned to his parent's country following the winter break as he spent time engaged in philanthropic work.
Adeyemi visited his Football Academy in Lagos before joining the end-of-year part of a group of young children in Nigeria.
The pacy-forward also took the opportunity to lecture young and aspiring footballers on the basics of football.
While having a good time in Nigeria, he was asked about the Nigerian national team and his favourite African footballer.
"I'll say the best (Nigerian and African) player for me is Victor Osimhen because he plays well in his league and also in the Champions League, he does both very well so he's the best for me," he said, as spotted on social media.
Osimhen led Napoli to their first league title in 33 years last season and was also top scorer in Serie A in the last campaign.
Adeyemi also disclosed that if there was an opportunity to play for Nigeria, he would not reject it but has already picked the country of his birth.
“As I said, I think I have my roots here. My father is from here, and his heart is still here in Nigeria. Of course, my heart is also here in Nigeria,” he said, as quoted by Soccernet NG.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Borussia Dortmund forward, Karim Adeyemi visited Nigeria for the winter break, where he is expected to spend time doing some philanthropic work.

FootballAdeyemi, born to Nigerian parents in Germany, visited his academy in Nigeria before joining children from the Ajeromi Ifelodun community for an end-of-year party hosted by the Nathaniel Idowu Foundation.
The German international also took time to teach the young kids the basics of football as he enjoyed his time in Lagos.
