FootballPaul Scholes: Man Utd Legend Highlights Problem ten Hag Has Failed to Solve After West Ham Loss
- Manchester United lost 2-0 away to West Ham at the London Stadium
- Two goals in six second-half minutes condemned United to a defeat
- Legend Paul Scholes is displeased at a problem that is yet unsolved
Paul Scholes is displeased and has highlighted a problem in the Manchester United side that remains unsolved after yet another defeat to West Ham at the London Stadium.
Manchester United won three games in November without conceding a goal but are yet to score in four games in December, drawing blank again in the capital.
In-form forwards Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus scored within six minutes of each other in the second half to send the Red Devils back to Manchester empty-handed.
Per The Telegraph, it was United’s 13th defeat of the season in all competitions as the team continues their winless run against teams in the top half of the table since Erik ten Hag took over.
Paul Scholes questions ten Hag
United legend Paul Scholes has questioned how ten Hag sets up the team for away games, which has given the team an unwanted record against the big clubs.
“They struggled last year in the big games last year, and I also felt last year that it was naive going to good away grounds and playing with one holding midfielder and the rest being attacking,” he said via Mirror UK.
“That is the way he (Ten Hag) wants to play, but when you go to big teams in England, you can’t afford to do that. He’s really struggled to get the balance right and they come to West Ham today, it’s another big game because you can guarantee they will be super organised.”
Scholes made these statements ahead of kickoff, and he was proven correct by how the team struggled against the East Londoners, who moved into the top six on the Premier League table.
