When you think Al-Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane are the first names that come to mind.
While they are two of the biggest superstars in the team, Alex Telles is out to prove that he is also a force to be reckoned with in the squad.
The Brazilian scored an absolute screamer when Al-Nassr took on Al-Ettifaq in the Saudi Pro League. Telles opened the scoring in the first half when he volleyed home from outside the box.
The box left Al-Ettifaq’s keeper with no chance, as it nestled into the top corner of the net.
How the game progressed
Al-Nassr took a lead into the halftime break and doubled it soon after.
Marcelo Brozovic scored a goal in the 59th minute of the game before Cristiano Ronaldo added a third in the 73rd minute.
Al-Ettifaq did grab a goal late in the game, but they still suffered a 3-1 defeat, Sporting News reported.
How the win affected the table
While Al-Nassr picked up a good win, so did the table-topping Al-Hilal.
Al-Hilal thrashed Abha 7-0 and remain 10 points clear at the top of the table. Al-Ahli Saudi are in third place, three points behind Al-Nassr.
All three sides will be in action before the year ends as well. Al-Hilal will take on Al Feiha on December 29, while Al-Ahli Saudi take on Al-Khaleej on the same day.
Al-Taawoun will host Al-Nassr on December 30.
