The votes are in and the people have spoken.
The starting XI and full squad for the Carling Knockout Cup All-Star match have been finalised, with fans voting for an interesting mix of football's favourites.
Other than the Soweto Giants who have a combined eight players in the starting lineup, Amazulu are well represented with the three other spots.
Amakhosi and South Africa's most popular goalkeeper, Itumeleng Khune, finished near the top of the overall leaderboard but a rookie from their Soweto rivals will take his place.
The club reiterated their stance that Khune will play no part in the exhibition match due to his alcohol-related suspension, as per the Kaizer Chiefs website.
Youth is the other key point from the team selection, with several coming from the Chiefs and Pirates DSTV Diski Challenge teams.
Starting in goal will be 18-year-old Zoey Monyepao from Orlando Pirates. Other youngsters in the starting line-up are Amazulu's Siphamandla Zikhali and Masibonge Ngidi.
On the bench will also be a host of DDC players, with at least half of them around 20 years old.
The player who received the most votes was Pirates' Kermit Erasmus with 39 691 votes, followed by Chiefs' Ashley Du Preez came second with 38 766 votes, as per SoccerLaduma.
The Chiefs-Pirates-Amazulu ensemble will take on Steve Barker's champion Stellenbosch FC at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium on January 6.
