Al Wahda star, Lucas Pimenta has showered praise on former Mamelodi Sundowns manager, Pitso Mosimane despite having left the club last month.
The South African tactician left the United Arab Emirates in mid-November and has since been linked with several clubs in Africa and the world.
Mosimane left Al Wahda and the UAE Pro League after only 10 games in charge due to a string of poor performances.
Pimenta, in a recent interview with Emirates Al Youm, as per iDiskiTimes, hailed Mosimane and claimed he laid the foundations for Al Wahda's current unbeaten run.
Since the 59-year-old left the club, the UAE league side has gone five games without tasting defeat under new manager, Arno Buitenweg.
"Mosimane is a wonderful coach, and throughout his tenure, he worked to instil the spirit of victory in the team," he said. "He is credited with what we are currently offering."
Al Wahda is currently fifth on the UAE Pro League table and now sits seven points behind first-placed Al Wasl. Mosimane's former team also knocked out Al Jazira in the quarter-finals of the League Cup.
Mosimane's challenge in accepting Chiefs job
Sports Brief previously reported that Mosimane explained the challenge he faces in taking up the vacant coaching job at PSL giants, Kaizer Chiefs.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns boss has confirmed he is open to taking up a new challenge with a new team when the Christmas holiday is over.
Mosimane, in a recent interview posted on YouTube by Sunday World News, explained the major obstacle he has in taking up the AmaKhosi job.

Sports Brief also previously reported on Mosimane discussing Kaizer Chiefs' trophy drought and the possibility of taking over their vacant coaching post.
The struggling AmaKhosi are presently being managed by Cavin Johnson on an interim basis and are still in search of a permanent successor to Molefi Ntseki.
Kaizer Chiefs remain without a trophy over the past eight seasons, with their last title success coming in the Premier Soccer League campaign of 2015/15.
