DJ Cleo's son, Zoey Monyepao, is set to replace embattled Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper, Itumeleng Khune in the All-Stars XI.
Khune’s recent indiscipline has resulted in a string of consequences, with the legend suspended and his captaincy revoked.
Reports in the media indicated that Khune arrived at the AmaKhosi's Naturena training base under the influence of alcohol.
Although the club did not provide explicit details, they have taken a strong stance against Khune while investigations are ongoing.
The club stated via News24:
"At the conclusion of the club's rigorous disciplinary processes last week, the committee has taken stern action and decided that Itumeleng Khune should be temporarily separated from the team until certain conditions have been fulfilled."
This has resulted in the AmaKhosi legend losing his position in the All Stars XI with Orlando Pirates star, Monyepao set to replace him.
The exciting Buccaneers star is the son of South African musician, DJ Cleo and will now have a huge chance to prove his worth.
He is the fourth most popular Chiefs, Pirates, or Sundowns player in terms of votes for the All-Star exhibition match, with only Kermit Erasmus (38 349), Ashley Du Preez (37 131), and Khune (34 455) having more votes than him so far.
The two Soweto giants - Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates - will unite with Mamelodi Sundowns and AmaZulu to form a superteam to take on the Carling Knockout Cup winners, Stellenbosch FC.
