- SuperSport United defeated Al-Hilal Benghazi in the CAF Confederations Cup
- An altercation in the game marred Matsatsantsa's victory over the Libyan side
- Gavin Hunt's side are still bottom of the group with three points in four games
SuperSport United secured a vital win over Al-Hilal Benghazi in the CAF Confederations Cup at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Wednesday, December 20.
The Premier Soccer League team needed all three points to maintain their slim hope of qualifying for the second round of the competition.
A trending video on social media has now shown a 'moment of madness' in the second half as both teams struggled to deal with the pressure upon them.
Etiosa Ighodaro's late goal, after Mohamed Salim had cancelled out Selaelo Rosebatja's strike, gave Matsatsantsa the win over the Libyan side, according to Soccer Laduma.
Unfortunately, the game would make headlines not for the result, but rather due to the bust-up between players on both sides, which reportedly led to a coach being carded.
The cause of the fight has not been confirmed although some have claimed it was the result of tension between players on the field and unhappiness with the officiating.
