The striker went on to feature for the Brazilians 81 times and scored 20 goals in the process, according to a report by Wikipedia.

Ndlovu, since retirement, has worked as an assistant coach for the Zimbabwe national team and Mamelodi Sundowns under Mosimane.

Edelbert Dinha posted a video of the former Sundowns assistant manager during his heydays on social media, and it drew reactions from fans.

Mosimane had some good words to say about the former Coventry City striker as he reminisced about how good he was.

"One of the few African players who managed to play in the EPL for a very long time. Top player, I think he scored a hat trick against Liverpool if I am not mistakenšŸ‘Œ," he said.

Mosimane speaks on Chiefsā€™ trophy drought

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on Mosimane discussing Kaizer Chiefs' trophy drought and the possibility of taking over their vacant coaching post.

The struggling AmaKhosi are presently being managed by Cavin Johnson on an interim basis and are still in search of a permanent replacement for Molefi Ntseki.

Kaizer Chiefs remain without a trophy over the past eight seasons, with their last title coming in the 2014/15 Premier Soccer League campaign that they won.

Pitso Mosimane set for return

Sports Brief also previously reported that Mosimane confirmed when he would be ready to take on a new role amid reports linking him with Kaizer Chiefs.

The 59-year-old veteran tactician has been without a managerial role since departing UAE Pro League outfit, Al Wadha last month after some poor results.

The former SuperSport United boss parted ways with the club and has since been linked with several top African club and national roles, including Nigeria.
