'Upset' Vincent Aboubakar Demands Public Apology From Besiktas for Wrongful Suspension

Cameroonian forward, Vincent Aboubakar is demanding a public apology from Turkish club Besiktas.

The 31-year-old has been suspended by the club, citing poor performance and incompatibilities within the team as reasons for his exclusion.

However, Pini Zahavi, agent of the player has hit hard at the club, threatening the departure of the player in January for what he describes as disrespect.

"While Vincent was making his fortune at Al-Nassr, he came to Besiktas. For your part, you tarnished his reputation by excluding him from the team for ridiculous reasons," Zahavi told Ajans Spor, as quoted by Allez Les Lions.
"Vincent is very upset. It is difficult for him to continue his career at Besiktas in these conditions.
"Either you publicly apologise to Vincent or we leave in January. In these circumstances, Vincent does not want to continue."

Aboubakar joined Besiktas in the summer transfer window after leaving Saudi Arabian giants Al-Nassr. The Cameroonian forward has scored 11 goals for the club in the ongoing season, as reported by Transfermarkt.

The former Porto forward has not featured for the club since early November.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Cameroonian forward, Vincent Aboubakar has broken his silence following his exclusion from the Besiktas team.

The 31-year-old and four other players were sidelined by the Turkish club due to alleged poor performance and 'incompatibilities within the team'.

Former Manchester United defender, Eric Bailly, plus Jean Onana, Rachid Ghezzal, and Valentin Rosier, have all been suspended by the Super Lig club.

Aboubakar inspires Cameroon to AFCON qualification

Sports Brief also reported that Besiktas star, Vincent Aboubakar inspiring Cameroon's qualification to AFCON next year in a must-win game against Burundi.

The veteran forward sealed victory for his side with a thunderous strike as the Indomitable Lions beat Burundi 3-0 on Tuesday night.

Cameroon almost missed the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast after defeat in their penultimate game against Namibia recently.
