Orlando Pirates are fortunate to have one of the best young attacking talents seen in South Africa for many years.
Relebohile Mofokeng has lit up the DStv Premiership, impressing with his mature combination of flair, creativity composure.
The 19-year-old's rise has prompted many to warn against the trappings of success and the need to help the young man realise his full potential.
One admirer is former Buccaneer, Dumisa Ngobe. The ex-midfielder has stated that Pirates should ensure that Mofokeng is well managed, both personally and professionally.
Ngobe used Mamelodi Sundowns' handling of Percy Tau and Sphelele Mkhulise, which resulted in one becoming a continental star and the other an important part of one of the best teams in Africa.
As quoted by Goal, he said:
"The team has to be patient with him. Don't put him under pressure. Give him time to grow as a player as well as a person."
A former player from the Sea Robbers' Soweto rivals also expressed his desire to see Mofokeng's name on Hugo Broos' preliminary squad list for AFCON early next year.
Mandla Masango believes interacting with the country's best players would have had a positive impact on his development, as quoted by Hollywoodbets SportsBlog:
"I would’ve loved to see Mofokeng as part of the travelling squad because he’s young and he’s doing very well. He doesn’t even have to play, but that on its own will give him a confidence booster."

Orlando Pirates welcome back Lorch
Sports Brief recently reported on Thembinkosi Lorch's return to Orlando Pirates' first team.
The playmaker had completed his three-week club ban related to a guilty assault conviction.
Lorch was sentenced to three years behind bars but the term was suspended for five years.
