Messi's dream XI of ex-teammates

While naming his dream XI of former teammates, Messi opted for Marc-Andre ter Stegen between the sticks ahead of Victor Valdes and Gianluigi Donnarumma.

In defence, the Argentine selected Dani Alves at right-back, with Alba on the left.

As reported by Goal Arabia, via Mundo Deportivo, Messi opted for Carles Puyol and Javier Mascherano at the heart of defence, snubbing Pique.

Xavi Hernandez and Iniesta feature in the legendary forward's midfield alongside Brazil icon, Ronaldinho.

Messi opted for Neymar, Suarez, and Mbappe in the attack, with the Frenchman the only non-Barcelona player on the list. He had no place for Henry or Samuel Eto'o, whom he shared the locker room with at Camp Nou.
