FootballLewandowski’s Wife Appears To Explain Why Barca Star ‘Snubbed’ Mega Deal To Join Ronaldo in Saudi
- Robert Lewandowski declined a lucrative offer to join Cristiano Ronaldo in the Saudi League
- Multiple reports suggest the Barcelona striker rejected a whopping €150 million per season contract
- His wife, Anna Lewandowska, has now hinted why the former Bayern Munich forward turned down the offer
Anna Lewandowska, the spouse of Barcelona's Robert Lewandowski, seems to have shed light on why the prolific Polish forward isn't keen on a move to Saudi Arabia.
Despite a tempting offer from a Saudi Pro League club in the summer of 2023, Lewandowski chose to turn down the opportunity, opting to remain with Barcelona.
As reported by Spanish outlet Fichajes via Daily Sports, the unnamed club presented a staggering €150 million per season contract to the 35-year-old forward, which he declined in favour of staying at the Camp Nou outfit.
A relatively slow start to the current season, where he's played 19 matches across all competitions, scoring 9 goals and providing 4 assists, has fuelled rumours of his potential departure from the Catalan club.
Despite speculation about Barcelona parting ways with their primary striker, Anna has hinted at a different scenario.
She indicated that both she and her husband are relishing life in Barcelona compared to their previous stint in Munich.
"When we lived in Munich, I was completely absorbed in work. I was getting into a kind of whirlwind, and sometimes I wondered why I did that. Robert also asked me that question. After moving to Barcelona, I changed my way of seeing life,' Anna said as quoted by Tribuna.
She continued: "I began to value life more and enjoy it to the fullest. The Catalans have taught me that there is only one life and that it is worth enjoying.
