Al Ahly midfielder Hussein El Shahat hit the famous 'siuu' celebration of Cristiano Ronaldo at the King Abdullah Sports City stadium after scoring against Al-Ittihad.

The Egyptian midfielder doubled the lead for the African champions after the break with a clever finish in the 59th minute.

Al Ahly had opened the scoring from the spot in the first half through Ali Maaloul before Karim Benzema missed a penalty in the 43rd minute.

Eman Ashour extended the advantage for Al Ahly in the 62nd minute but Benzema scored a consolation late in the match.

In a video that has since gone viral on social media, El Shahat was spotted hitting the siuu as he celebrated in front of thousands of fans and the Al-Ittihad team.

The 11-time African champions were reduced to ten men in the 90th minute after Anthony Modeste was sent off.

The Red Devils will next face South American champions Fluminense as they chase their first-ever title at the prestigious FIFA tournament.

Al Ahly finished third in 2022 with TP Mezembe being the only African team to ever reach the final.

Al Ahly beat Al-Ittihad to reach Club World Cup semi-final

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that African champions Al Ahly have eliminated star-studded Al-Ittihad from the Club World Cup after an impressive 3-1 victory at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium.

Despite going into the game as the less-fancied side, Al Ahly dominated the early exchanges, taking the lead through Ali Maalool from the spot in the 21st minute.

Former Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema had the chance to level for the Saudi giants from the spot just before half-time, but his effort was saved by El Shenawy.

Ahmed Mido backed Al Ahly to beat Al-Ittihad

Sports Brief also reported that Egypt legend Ahmed Hossam Mido tipped Al Ahly to beat mega-rich Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad in the Club World Cup second-round clash on Friday.

The Egyptian giants go into the game as the less-fancied side following the major acquisitions by Al-Ittihad in the summer transfer window.

The Saudi Arabian outfit added UEFA Champions League winners N'Golo Kante, Fabinho and former Ballon d'Or winner Karim Benzema to their squad before the start of the season.
