In Chelsea's ongoing quest to fortify their attacking lineup, Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen and Guinean goal-scorer Serhou Guirassy have emerged as prime targets ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
Following a summer transfer window that left the Blues without the desired striker, the club is determined to address this gap in January 2024.
Given their notable spending spree in the winter of 2023, Mauricio Pochettino is once again expected to make significant moves in the transfer market.
At the forefront of Chelsea's transfer wish list is Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen. Despite his current challenges and a strained relationship with Napoli, Chelsea are reportedly prepared to make a substantial financial commitment to secure the services of the prolific forward, reports Goal.
Osimhen, a key player in Napoli's Scudetto triumph in 2022-23, admitted he had both Chelsea and Manchester United jerseys in his wardrobe, sparking more debate about his future.
“I don’t have a favourite Premier League team but I’ve two jerseys: Chelsea and Man United. Many friends of mine are Chelsea fans, few are Man United fans”, the Nigeria was quoted on Mirror.
Guinean sharpshooter Serhou Guirassy, who is leading Stuttgart's surprising Champions League campaign, is another major target for Chelsea. With an impressive tally of 18 goals in just 14 appearances this season, Guirassy has greatly elevated his goal-scoring prowess.
Chelsea are considering the Bundesliga star despite a prior rejection in 2020, approaching the situation cautiously due to past failed transfers from the league,
Other notable transfer targets include Feyenoord’s Santiago Gimenez. The Mexican striker has become a subject of interest for Chelsea due to his remarkable performances in the Eredivisie.
