FootballThomas Muller: Leon Goretzka Trolls Bayern Munich Legend Over Broken Phone
- Thomas Muller helped Bayern Munich beat Manchester United in the Champions League
- The German champions dumped the English club out of Europe’s top-tier competition
- Muller has also been subjected to trolling by his Bayern teammate over his mobile phone
Thomas Muller is one of Bayern Munich’s greatest players and one of their most well-paid stars, but he seems not to care about material things.
Muller helped Bayern dump Manchester United out of the UEFA Champions League and progressed to the knockout stage as group winners, extending their unbeaten run in the group stage to 40 games.
The 34-year-old has been integral to Bayern’s success since he was drafted to the first team in 2008 and is a two-time Champions League winner.
Goretzka trolls Muller’s phone
As seen in a video shared on X by 433, Leon Goretzka recorded the veteran having a meal but his attention was on his phone, which has a broken body exposing parts of the internals.
Goretzka told his club and national teammate that it was time to get a new one, but the 2014 World Cup winner insisted the phone still works; it just heats up if used for too long.
Per Capology, Muller earns almost €400,000 per week at the club and replacing his bad phone would not be an issue, but he probably does not care too much about it.
His contract at the Bavarian club runs out this summer and president, Herbert Hainer is confident they can have him tied down to a new deal before the end of the season.
"We all want Thomas to end his career at Bayern Munich. We are in talks with him, and I really hope that Thomas Müller stays with us," he told Bild via Goal.
